Transcend gives back to over 300 kids with Metro World Child for the Sidewalk Sunday School project

In many cities and villages, there are children who have no control over where they were born or what extreme circumstances they were brought into; they have no way of seeing themselves out of their situation. Transcend Information Inc., a leading manufacturer of storage and multimedia products, is having its 30th anniversary this year and would like to show its gratitude to Philippines society. Partnered with Metro World Child, a global humanitarian organization reaching close to 100,000 children and their families on a weekly basis, Transcend provided over 300 kids from Balut and Tondo with a bag of school supplies at Metro’s Sidewalk Sunday School on September 22, 2018.

Metro’s Sidewalk Sunday School holds activities for children in need all over the country, and out. For many children, Sunday School is the highlight of their week, providing a positive alternative to many of the negative influences that constantly surround them. Hundreds of smiles were captured, as these children received book bags from Transcend to help with their schooling.

“We always value young children as the most valuable assets to the nation. It is our honor to partner with Metro World Child for the Sidewalk Sunday School project. Nothing matters more than helping the children by bringing necessary school supplies to them.” said Jimmy Chiang, country manager of Transcend Philippines.“ To support the society, we will initiate “Transcend Care Program” in the Philippines soon. We are hoping we could act together and make real changes to those in need.”
