Earlier this month I released my full review of the Tronsmart PBT10 Presto 10000mAh Quick Charge 3.0 Power Bank and it actually performed quite well as advertised with the multiple charging technologies it has built-in. Today, we are going to take a look at its brother, the Tronsmart PBT12 Presto 10400mAh USB-C Quick Charge 3.0 Power Bank.
The Tronsmart PBT12 has all the technologies the Tronsmart PBT10 has with the exception of the Huawei FCP Technology, but the good thing about the PBT12 is that it uses the USB Type C interface for fast charging your device as well as fast charging the power bank itself.

Design and Construction
In terms of design, right off the bat, you’ll notice that the Tronsmart PBT12 is a little bit big and bulky compared to other similar capacity power bank like the Tronsmart PBT10. It has a rectangular shape though that might be good for some instances, like tucking it inside a tight pocket or something like that. Personally, I would prefer a much slimmer profile, but that just me.
It also comes with a charging cable of course but this time, it’s a USB Type A to USB Type C cable. Bear that in mind if you’re planning on using this with devices that uses a micro USB port for charging. You can always grab a micro USB cable from your other devices, I’m pretty sure at this point in time you already have one lying around.
Technology and Features
Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
Ports
The Tronsmart PBT12 Presto 10400mAh Power Bank has 2 ports, 1 USB Type A for output only and 1 USB Type C for both input and output.
Supported Input and Output Amperage and Voltage
The USB Type A port supports 5-6.5V/3A, 6.5-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A (Max)
Charging Performance
I tested it first on my Xiaomi Redmi 5A which only supports 5V/1A and it was able to deliver close to that at 5.18V/.9A.
The Tronsmart PBT12 was able to charge my Xiaomi Redmi 5A for just around 2 hours and 41 minutes which is right there within the normal range.
Just like the Tronsmart PBT10, The Tronsmart PBT12 can charge my phone approximately at least 3 times, which is sufficient enough to last me for a day without plugging my phone into a wall adaptor.
Then I tested it on another power bank to verify the VoltIQ technology and it was able to charge the power bank at 5.16V/1.31A
VERDICT
Will I Recommend This? Yes!
If you have a USB Type C device, then it’s a no-brainer to grab the Tronsmart PBT12. You will be able to take advantage of the fast charging USB Type C port for both input and output so you can recharge both of the devices quickly and be out and about. If you don’t have a USB Type C device, you can still take advantage of the USB Type A port that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 as well as the very efficient VoltIQ technology. Either way, the Tronsmart PBT12 provides convenience, efficiency, and reliability when it comes to providing your device enough juice to last you for the day.
