The Sricam SP017 wireless security camera is one of the most popular affordable IP cameras out in the market. It has a huge amount of positive feedback from buyers on Lazada and I saw why when I unboxed it and tried it for the first time it’s pretty decent for its price and worth it if you want extra security for your house or work-space.

 We actually got robbed just last year, the burglar went inside our bedroom coming from the terrace during the wee hours while we are sleeping. Thankfully, we weren’t harmed and just lost our valuables like cell phones and laptop. Please don’t let this happen to you guys and get a security camera for your home.

FULL REVIEW

Design:

The design of the Sricam SP017 is nothing special, it looks like any typical IP Camera out in the market. Aesthetically, I like the contrast between the black and white colors.

The construction is almost made entirely of plastic which is fine considering that it is made for indoor use. Although it’s plastic, the construction is actually pretty smooth. No sharp edges and not much imperfections.

Ports and Device Information:

 At the back we have the RJ-45 port for the wired Ethernet connection, the micro SD card slot and the power port.

At the bottom we have the device information, the mounting screw hole and the reset button.

Accessories:


It comes with a short Ethernet cable. Although it’s very unlikely that you’re gonna use it since you can connect it via WiFi. You can use it though when setting up the device for the first time If you get in trouble connecting to your WiFi.

It also comes with a standard DC 5V power adapter.

You will also get a plastic mounting bracket so you can mount the Sricam SP017 on the wall using the wall mounting screws that are also included.

WILL I RECOMMEND THIS?: Yes
Before I even got the Sricam SP017 I know that I’m going to recommend it. As I’ve mentioned at the start of this article, it has a huge amount of positive feedback from the buyers with high ratings as well. It was a sign for me to get this one, especially that my parents actually want one and because of what happened to us this is really a necessity for our family’s safety.

 With the use of a security camera, you can view not only what’s happening around the area being recorded but you can also monitor any suspicious behavior of people roaming around specially in front of your house. Someone might be spying on your activities and has malicious intent. Be safe, and be vigilant. 

Within a week since I got this security camera I have no complaints, it does its job and it does it very well. so I highly recommend it to you guys.
