Transcend Brings 3D NAND to mSATA SSD MSA230S for Consumers

Transcend Information Inc., a leading manufacturer of storage and multimedia products, is introducing the mSATA SSD MSA230S to its comprehensive portfolio of high-quality, reliable solid-state storage solutions. Designed for the consumer market, the MSA230S utilizes 3D NAND flash memory, SATA III 6Gb/s interface and a powerful controller to deliver blazing-fast transfer speeds of up to 550MB/s read and 400MB/s write*, long-term reliability and high cost-effectiveness.

3D NAND Flash Memory

The compact form factor of the mSATA SSD MSA230S, which is one-eighth the size of a standard 2.5-inch solid-state drive, addresses the strict size limitations of small form factor devices, as well as Ultrabooks, tablet PCs and slim servers. As it uses 3D NAND flash memory, which surpasses the physical limitations of Planar MLC NAND flash by stacking layers of memory cells, the MSA230S is faster, more reliable and delivers greater performance at a competitive price point.

Exclusive Technologies

Transcend’s mSATA SSD MSA230S boasts an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, low power consumption and a shock and vibration resistance design. To ensure optimal performance and data integrity, the drive supports a slew of well-developed, exclusive technologies, such as built-in LDPC error correction code functionality, advanced global wear-leveling and block management, S.M.A.R.T. functionality, as well as security, TRIM and NCQ commands.

Warranty

The mSATA SSD MSA230S is available in 64GB and 128GB capacities, and backed by Transcend’s Three-year Limited Warranty*.
