SFF-ready cards deliver next-gen performance for PCs large and small
MANILA, Philippines, June 2, 2024 — ASUS today announced the launch of the ASUS Prime graphics card family, which begins with the Prime GeForce RTX™ 4070 SUPER, Prime GeForce RTX 4070 and Prime GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. Built for budget-conscious PC enthusiasts, these cards are decked out with a triple-fan cooling solution and are slim enough for small-form-factor (SFF) builds. Plus, they’re styled to match the popular and wallet-friendly ASUS Prime ecosystem.
Slim and trim, but loaded with GPU muscle
Many builders today are embracing the challenge of building a powerful PC in an ultracompact SFF chassis. The new NVIDIA® GeForce® SFF-Ready program simplifies the process of building a space-saving PC by labeling SFF-ready cases and graphics cards. When selecting a chassis and GPU that are SFF-ready, users can be confident that these cards will be compatible and that they will have a streamlined building experience.
The Prime GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER and Prime GeForce RTX 4070 join the above RTX 4070 ProArt graphics cards in the ranks of those compatible with the NVIDIA GeForce SFF-Ready Program. Just 50 mm thick and only 269 mm long, these 2.5-slot Prime cards fit comfortably within NVIDIA’s recommended form factor guidelines for SFF PCs, so users can build their space-saving PC with confidence.
A cooling solution that’s ready for prime time
The Prime GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, Prime GeForce RTX 4070 and Prime GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards are lean and slim, but every inch has been taken advantage of to create an effective cooling solution. These graphics cards boast many of the cooling innovations that users will find on ASUS Dual models, but with the addition of a third fan.
Each Prime graphics card wields three Axial-tech fans with nine blades. A vented backplate optimized for airflow works in tandem with these dynamic fans to keep noise levels and temperatures under tight control. For silent operation under light loads, these graphics cards feature 0 dB technology that allows the fans to completely stop spinning whenever temperatures permit. A physical Dual BIOS switch lets users choose between performance and quiet modes with a flick of a finger.
Highly durable dual ball fan bearings offer twice the lifespan of other options, and they are equipped with long-life capacitors. Additionally, these cards are built using ASUS Auto-Extreme Technology, which automates the manufacturing process so that all soldering is completed in a single pass, reducing thermal strain and environmental impact for a product that will stand the test of time.
A drop-in fit with the Prime ecosystem
Looking across the Prime family of PC DIY components, users will notice a shared style built on a classic black-and-white colorway, understated space-age design elements and minimal RGB LED lighting effects. Prime graphics cards complement this design language perfectly with a sleek aesthetic and a predominantly black finish that lets its performance do the talking.
For years, ASUS Prime motherboards have catered to mainstream builders who need well-rounded, affordable options. The Prime X670E-Pro WiFi, for example, makes for a cost-effective platform for anyone building out a next-gen AMD PC.
The Prime ecosystem goes a step further with the ASUS Prime AP201 chassis, a microATX option available with either a tempered glass side panel or a mesh side panel. ASUS has also just announced the first Prime AIO liquid CPU cooler. (Click here to learn more about all the cutting-edge tech just revealed at Computex 2024.)
The Prime family also includes durable, affordably priced power supplies. Available in 750-watt and 850-watt versions, ASUS Prime Gold Series PSUs offer full modularity, meet the ATX 3.0 standard, bear 80 Plus Gold certifications, and are backed by an eight-year warranty. The ASUS Prime Gold 750W delivers all the power users will need for either the Prime GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, Prime GeForce RTX 4070 or the Prime GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. Prime graphics cards do more with GPU Tweak III
The latest version of ASUS GPU Tweak III software has everything users need to customize their experience with their Prime graphics card. Preset modes let users boost their card’s power or cut back on noise with a single click, and users can even set their own profiles on a game-by-game basis.
Mobile Monitor is one of the most exciting new features, allowing users to connect to GPU Tweak via their phone or other remote device to monitor the graphics card without adding overlays on top of gameplay. Set up a phone or tablet on a stand next to the PC, connect to the GPU Tweak Mobile Monitor interface, and keep an eye on system stats without sacrificing immersion.
ASUS has also made the VF Tuner more user-friendly than ever, providing fine-grained control over the clock speed curve of a GPU. Also improved are the on-screen display and the import and export functions. A new integrated GPU-Z interface allows users to get detailed GPU information without having to install GPU-Z separately.
