ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG Review – Should you switch to QD-OLED?

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I started using the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG. Honestly, it’s been an amazing experience—almost perfect. The glossy WOLED panel delivers stunning image quality, motion clarity is excellent, and after all this time, I’ve seen no signs of burn-in.

My only real gripe? Text clarity. WOLED’s unconventional subpixel layout just doesn’t play well with fine text, especially for productivity. So I started looking for a relatively affordable QD-OLED alternative.

And that’s when I stumbled upon the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG.

It’s not ASUS’s latest release. In fact, it’s been around for a while now, built on 3rd-gen QD-OLED tech. But I’m still curious: can it hold its own in 2025? And more importantly, is it a worthy upgrade from the XG27AQDMG?

There’s only one way to find out, so let’s get into it.
